Student Organizations

UAGC provides students with an array of diverse opportunities to establish community outside of the classroom and to network with others who share a common interest. From business and psychology to community and finance, there’s a club for everyone.

  • The CHAMPS Expand Your Support Community mentoring track is designed for students looking to increase their sense of community and belonging.

    In this plan, you will be paired with a mentor who serves as your sounding board for your ideas and will check in on you regularly as you move through your program.

  • Designed for students still acclimating to the UAGC environment, this plan will introduce you to critical learning resources and fundamental student skills.

    You’ll be paired with a mentor who matches your background and family dynamics, and who will invest themselves in your development.

  • This track addresses the unique set of challenges graduate students face. Designed exclusively for graduate students, you will work with graduate mentors who will talk you through the nuances of being a graduate student so you can successfully transition into a graduate-level program.

This mentoring plan offers doctoral students guidance and support while building positive relationships throughout the doctoral journey.     The CHAMPS Career and Professional Development track is designed with student achievers in mind. Ideal for second-year students and beyond, the plan focuses on resources and opportunities to enhance your professional development, leadership skills, and career marketability.

  • The Forbes School of Business and Technology® Center for Women’s Leadership (CWL) plan is based on a network of scholars, students, and practitioners who seek to enhance their knowledge, expertise, and research in the area of women and leadership in order to advance the standing of women in leadership.

  • This robust training program is designed for mentees interested in moving into a mentorship role in the CHAMPS program. It focuses on program procedure, best practices, etiquette and professionalism, and provides the essentials that mentees need to become experts in the UAGC classroom and resources.

Careers Services

Career Services empowers students to discover, develop, and apply their unique talents to achieve their greatest potential. Career Services provides individual and group coaching services and self-directed resources for active, degree-seeking students and alumni. Some of the services offered include career exploration tools, resume and cover letter guidance, interview preparation, job search support, access to job postings, internship postings, and career self-assessments. Through these skills and personality assessments, individuals may explore their interests, abilities, values, and career options and goals.

Registrar Support Team

Registrar’s Office

The UAGC Office of the Registrar works closely with members of the enrollment, academic, and student services departments to facilitate inclusive student recruitment and retention efforts in compliance with regulatory requirements. The Office of the Registrar determines student admissibility by reviewing student’s admission application and evaluating all student transcripts to determine applicability to programs. Program change requests, name changes, official and unofficial transcript requests and graduation functions are all handled by the Office of the Registrar. This office collects, records, maintains, and reports all student records in accordance with FERPA guidelines, e.g., grades, attendance, registration information, transcripts, and student academic progress.

Student Portal

The University of Arizona Global Campus students use the student portal as a self-service resource center. The student portal provides one location for students to access and print versions of their schedule, degree progress report, and ledger card; access additional learning resources; receive important information regarding the university and connect with their advisors. Online students also use the student portal to access the online classroom. Additionally, the student portal allows students to:

Instructional Materials

Virtual Classrooms

UAGC online students work in a virtual environment that provides asynchronous and synchronous learning opportunities in the process of taking classes and meeting course requirements. Students can access their virtual classrooms as well as support resources through the university’s learning management system 24/7 within the parameters of a course, typically one week prior to the course start through to one week after the course end. All course learning activities, such as readings, assignments, lectures, and class discussions, are posted within the classroom, as are eTextbooks and other resources. A technology helpdesk is available around the clock.

Student Portal

Using the student portal, students can access the UAGC Library and Writing Center for resources related to research and writing any time of the day. Additionally, through the portal, they can print versions of their academic schedules, degree progress reports, and ledger cards; receive important University information; and connect with their advisors.

The UAGC Mobile App

Leveraging the latest technologies, UAGC provides a mobile app, an innovative application for smartphones and tablets that connects students and faculty to key elements of the university experience. Students and faculty can complete most assignments, contact support staff, review grades, access financial account information, and more from the convenience of their mobile devices.

Student Health Information

Drug Free Schools and Communities Act Program

Students may obtain information on the illegal possession, use, or distribution of alcohol and illicit drugs, as well as the university’s standards of conduct, associated health risks, drug or alcohol counseling and treatment programs, university disciplinary actions, and federal, state, and local sanctions for violations of law by viewing the Drug Free Schools and Communities Act Program Report.

Health and Wellness Referrals

Pursuing a degree often results in navigating new challenges and situations that students may not have experienced previously. While many of these experiences are welcomed, they may also overwhelm and/or leave students feeling confused, discouraged, or anxious. Students are encouraged to reach out for support before circumstances become unmanageable.

The Student Advocate HELPline is a service available through the office of student access and wellness. Student advocates assist students who are experiencing extreme personal hardships and critical life impacts by providing short-term de-escalation, assistance locating support resources in the local area, and action-planning to address the educational impact of situational stressors. Impacts supported include but are not limited to; concern for individual or community safety, homelessness and extreme financial hardship, sexual assault, domestic violence, and/or significant impact resulting from the loss of a loved one.

Student advocates are available Monday – Friday between 8 am and 4 pm PT. Students are invited to contact the Student Advocate HELPline by completing an Online Care Report in order to seek assistance from a Student Advocate.

Health Alerts, Communicable Disease Control, and Needle Safety Procedures

The University recognizes its responsibility to exercise reasonable care in protecting students, faculty, staff, administrators, and visitors from health dangers while on the campus. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the United States Public Health Service report procedures and recommendations for dealing with communicable diseases. The University uses such guidelines in determining reasonable care on a case-by-case basis. Individuals who know or suspect they may have a communicable disease should contact their immediate supervisor or the Office of Student Access and Wellness so that reasonable care and protection can be assured to them and to others.

Individuals taking medication routinely administered by injection, such as insulin, must ensure proper disposal through a sharp disposal container for used needles and syringes, available in restrooms throughout the facilities. This container is a requirement of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Needles and syringes must never be disposed of in regular waste receptacles. Needles and syringes must only be disposed of in proper disposal containers.

Health and Wellness Requirements

UAGC does not require any proof of vaccination as a condition of enrollment. Students are encouraged to speak to a physician for information on recommended immunizations.

Use of Tobacco/Marijuana Products

The facilities of the University of Arizona Global Campus are smoke- and tobacco-free. No smoking, chewing, or dipping is allowed inside any university facility. UAGC policy applies to all forms of tobacco and marijuana, including but not limited to paraphernalia, cigarettes, cigars, shisha, pipes, water pipes (hookah), electronic cigarettes, and all forms of smokeless tobacco and marijuana including, but not limited to chew, edibles, snus, snuff, sticks, strips, and orbs.

Firearms/Explosives

Shotguns, rifles, handguns, air guns, bows and arrows, simulated weapons, ammunition, and other types of potentially dangerous weapons are not permitted anywhere on campus or at University-sponsored events that take place off-campus unless properly authorized by the University President. All types of explosives (incendiary and chemical) and fireworks (including smoke bombs) are prohibited in all areas of the University. Any object has the potential to become a weapon; therefore, the University reserves the right to further define a “weapon” based on its potential damage or threat.

Transcript Request

How to Order Your Official Transcripts Online:

To order official transcripts, log into your Student Portal, click on My Degree and then click on the link that says “Order Official Transcript.” If you are unable to log into your Student Portal because you’ve forgotten your Student ID, please call the registrar’s office at 866-974-5700. Didn’t have access to the Student Portal? Not a problem, you can visit our secure transcript storefront.

The transcript ordering site will walk you through placing your order, including delivery options and fees. You can order as many transcripts as you like in a single session. Order updates will be sent to your email address, and you can track your order online. If a hold at the University of Arizona Global Campus prevents the transcript from being released, you will have 30 days to resolve the hold before the order is cancelled.

Requests for official transcripts from students with outstanding financial obligations to the University cannot be completed. To clear financial holds, contact the business office at 866-974-5700.

The University of Arizona Global Campus issues official transcripts only with signed permission from the owner of the student record. The Registrar’s Office releases academic record transcripts in compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act.

You can print copies of your unofficial transcript, free of charge, by logging into your student portal, clicking “My Degree,” and then clicking “Unofficial Transcript.” Please note, if you have a hold on your account, you will not have access to your unofficial transcript.

Frequently Asked Questions About Finishing Your Degree

If I have a question about completing degree requirements, who do I contact?

When will I receive my diploma, and what will be printed on it?

Your degree will be conferred and your diploma and transcripts will be released once you have met all degree requirements including, but not limited to, credits earned, GPA, examinations, internships, dissertations, and balances paid in full. Diplomas and transcripts will be withheld until all accounts at the University are paid in full. Diplomas are generally ordered within 30 days of completion of all program requirements and payment of all related tuition and fees. Once the diploma is ordered, it will take six to eight weeks to arrive. Once orders are placed, mailing addresses cannot be changed. Ensure your address is up-to-date and accurate before finishing your last course. Your diploma will state your name as indicated on your Petition to Graduate, your degree name, and your graduation date. The date of degree conferral recorded on your diploma will reflect the end of the term in which you completed all degree requirements. Diplomas and transcripts will be issued by the University of Arizona Global Campus.

What size is the diploma?

The UAGC diplomas measure 8½ inches tall by 11 inches wide.

When will my official transcript reflect my degree awarded?

Degree completion is recorded on your official transcript within 30 days after completion of all program requirements. Transcripts will not be released until your account balance is paid in full, including the graduation fee. Please note that transcripts will be issued by the University of Arizona Global Campus.

How do I request my official transcripts?

Once your degree is awarded, one official transcript will be mailed to your current address. You can order additional official UAGC transcripts at $10 per copy plus shipping. Order transcripts through your Student Portal, visit our transcript ordering site, or complete a Transcript Request form.

How do I prove I have earned my degree?

If you need to prove that you have earned your degree for an employer or other third party, you can either provide them with a copy of your official transcripts, order an official transcript and have it sent to a third party, or you can fill out an enrollment verification request form.

How do I request faculty to provide a recommendation for me?

Review the student request for recommendation form and send it directly to the individual from whom you are requesting a recommendation. Explain exactly what you need in your request, in addition to sending the form. Requests for recommendations are fulfilled at the professor’s or staff member’s discretion. Professors may choose to fulfill a request right away, may require a longer timeline to write letters, or may decline to fulfill requests. You may direct questions concerning this process to the Office of the Registrar.
