Explore External Scholarship Opportunities

Online college scholarships can be an important financial resource for students who are determining how to pay for their education. Funding online education can be challenging, and finding online college scholarships can often be time-consuming and difficult. That’s why the University of Arizona Global Campus has partnered with ScholarshipUniverse – a platform that makes finding and applying for external scholarship opportunities easier and faster.

What is ScholarshipUniverse?

ScholarshipUniverse tailors external scholarship opportunities specific to each student profile, has the potential to lower out-of-pocket costs, and may reduce the reliance on federal loans a student may need to borrow.

FAQs

  • ScholarshipUniverse is an online scholarship platform that matches students with external scholarship opportunities based on an academic profile that they build. The more questions that are answered, the more tailored the matching opportunities will be for the student.

  • Enrolled UAGC students can log into ScholarshipUniverse via the Student Portal. Once logged in, visit the “My Finances” tab, then click on the ScholarshipUniverse link.

  • Students may answer as many questions as they want when building their academic profile. The more questions answered, the more tailored the matching opportunities will be for the student.

  • Each of the external scholarships provided on ScholarshipUniverse goes through an extensive vetting process to ensure that they are reliable and protect students from scams and fraudulent activity. As a reminder, students should never provide sensitive information such as a social security number or pay a fee in order to apply for a scholarship.

  • Yes, under the “Scholarships” menu, students may sort the scholarships and then click on the “Filter” button. A menu will then pop up that will allow students to enter their criteria to obtain the desired result.

  • We recommend that students review their dashboard at least once a week to stay on top of any new offerings and/or upcoming deadlines.

  • ScholarshipUniverse is unable to track external scholarship opportunities; however, students may follow up with the external organization for a status update to their application.

  • If the organization needs transcripts, students may obtain these through the Student Portal. For any other information, students may reach out to the Financial Services Department so that we can determine how to best assist with the request.

  • This will depend on the external scholarship award amount provided to the school. A student may not receive aid from all sources that exceed the Cost of Attendance for the academic year. If a student is offered aid that exceeds their cost of attendance, adjustments may be made to a student’s financial aid offer.

  • These areas are for information related to UAGC internal scholarship opportunities only. Should students need a status update on an external scholarship application, students may reach out to that organization for a status update.

  • Students may click on their name in the upper right-hand corner, then “Profile.” Students may view their communication preferences and adjust them accordingly.

  • Students should use the “Feedback” menu to provide feedback to the ScholarshipUniverse support team. Please be as specific as possible, including any error codes if applicable, so that the team can quickly work to resolve the issue. Students may be asked to submit additional information if a follow-up is needed.
