Frequently Asked Questions About Outside Scholarships

Scholarship providers may allow their awards to be used for online degree programs as long as you’re enrolled at an accredited school. Every scholarship has its own rules, though, so always check the eligibility section of the application. If you’re not sure, reach out to the scholarship provider and ask.

Scholarships may affect your financial aid package, depending on the total amount of aid you receive. Financial aid rules require schools to include scholarships when building your financial aid package. It is important that you notify the Financial Aid office about any scholarships you receive.
