SCOTT BURGMEYER

Scott Burgmeyer is the founder and CEO of Creative Solutions Group, a 10-year-old company in Des Moines, Iowa, that helps organizations grow through the optimization of processes, talent, and technology. Burgmeyer is also the Executive Director of IQC, a consulting and training firm that oversees the Baldrige Performance Excellence program for the State of Iowa. Prior, Burgmeyer held roles such as Organizational Development & CI Manager, SVP Quality and Improvement, and Chief Improvement Officer.

Burgmeyer earned his Master of Business Administration in Organizational Leadershipin 2015 and is working on his PhD in Organizational Leadership.

KEVIN DALEY

Kevin Daley was a captain and leader of the Harlem Globetrotters from 2004 to 2014, performing as the showman known as “Special K.” Throughout his legendary career leading the Globetrotters, he was able to sharpen his natural ability to engage and motivate audiences of all ages. Daley is now Director of Sales with Velocity Global, an international professional services firm. He is also an internationally renowned keynote speaker and business coach. A native Spanish speaker from Panama City, Panama, he has shared his message in more than 95 countries in English and Spanish and has authored several books.

Daley earned his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology in 2010 and had the honor of being the Spring 2018 Commencement speaker.

TIFFANY HOWE

Tiffany Howe has been Vice President for Teaching and Learning at Western Dakota Technical Institute in Rapid City, South Dakota, for three years. She is responsible for leading the academic programs, the new program development processes, and instructional support services, among other responsibilities. Prior to this position, Howe was Program Director of Surgical Technology for the college from 2014 to 2017. She was Program Chair of Surgical Technology at Colorado Technical Institute for six years before that.

Howe received her Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Management in 2007 and her Master of Business Administration, Project Management, from Colorado Technical University in 2010. She is certified by Career Education Corporation as a Harvard ManageMentor® and a Certified Performance Coach. She is a Certified Surgical First Assistance/ Certified Surgical Technologist by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting. She recently completed a six-year term on the Education and Professional Standards Committee for the Association of Surgical Technologists (AST) and was appointed to a three-year term as AST’s Liaison for the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).

CHER MCNEAL OFSTEDAHL LEAL

Cher Ofstedahl-Leal is CEO of Trinity Youth Services, an organization in Claremont, California, that helps children and families create a better future. She has been with the organization for 23 years. Additionally, she has served as the Executive Director of the Children’s Foundation of America for 15 years.

Ofstedahl-Leal earned a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Management in 2013. She holds post-graduate certifications from Cornell University and Harvard Graduate School of Education. In 2019, she completed her master’s degree in Ethical Leadership from Claremont Lincoln University. She is also a member of the first graduating cohort in a National Human Services Assembly (NHSA) nonprofit executive leadership program, a collaboration with Arizona State University, Indiana University, and the Lilly School of Philanthropy.

In 2018, she was honored by Senator Anthony Portantino (D- La Cañada Flintridge) for her exemplary nonprofit leadership and recently was seated to the University of California at Riverside Design Thinking advisory board.

DANIEL PERSICO

Daniel Persico has been Chief Information Officer since 2019 for the Virginia Department of Elections, where he is responsible for the oversight of business operations, software development, project management, information security, and technology governance within the realm of elections oversight. He has nearly 20 years of experience as a solutions-oriented technology and security leader. Persico served for 13 years in the U.S. Air Force.

Persico earned his Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Management in 2013 and is currently working towards his Master of Arts in Organizational Management.

Persico also possesses numerous certifications, including Certified Information Security Manager and Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer from ISACA (Information Systems Audit and Control Association).

BETH PETER

Beth Peter is the Senior Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering Analyst Team Lead/Financial Crimes Analyst with the United States Postal Service in Washington, DC. She has served in various capacities with the U.S. Postal Service for more than 32 years.

Beth earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration in 2016. She was the Fall 2018 Alumni Commencement Guest Speaker. She holds the designations of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist and Certified Financial Crime Specialist.

MATTHEW SELLS

Matthew Sells was named President and CEO of Shenandoah Medical Center in Shenandoah, Iowa, in March of 2017 after serving as the organization's CFO for four years. He previously served as the CFO for Shenandoah Medical Center in Shenandoah, Iowa, from 2013 to 2017 where he was responsible for managing the facilities’ financial activities and leading the organization’s compliance program. Before that he was CFO for Brown County Hospital in Ainsworth, Nebraska.

Early on Sells worked at KPMG LLP, where he attained his CPA license and spent four years working in the firm's audit practice. He earned his Master of Business Administration in 2014.

TY SMITH

Ty Smith is a highly decorated retired United States Navy SEAL Senior Chief, with 20 years of service and six tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. He is Founder and CEO of Vigilance Risk Solutions (VRS), a technology company that specializes in conflict and violence prevention, and whose customers include Fortune 500 companies. Smith has become a topmost authority in combating conflict and violence and has been quoted among numerous publications for his insight into how to identify and reduce violent situations.

Smith received a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Management in 2015 and a Master of Business for Veterans from the University of Southern California, Marshall School of Business, in 2016. He currently serves on the University Board of Trustees.
