UAGC is committed to helping students maximize their transfer credits. College credits earned from an approved accredited institution* will be reviewed and applied wherever possible to ensure your time, knowledge, and hard work transfers with you. Bachelor's
Transfer approved college credits toward your bachelor’s program at UAGC.
Master's
Transfer up to 9 approved credits towards a master's degree program at UAGC.
Doctoral
Transfer up to 30 approved credits towards a doctoral degree program at UAGC.

What Other Types of Credits Will UAGC Accept?

If you have not attended a traditional college or university, that’s OK! You may have other valuable experience that can turn into college credit. You may even be able to earn credits along the way, while taking UAGC courses.
  • You may pursue credit for your unique mix of work experience, previous corporate training, continuing education units, or other non-traditional sources of previous learning that do not carry approved-accredited traditional or ACE/NCCRS-recommended credit through UAGC Prior Learning Assessment (PLA). Students may pursue PLA credit through one or both of the options offered by UAGC: Sponsored Professional Training and Experiential Learning Credit Essay.

  • UAGC recognizes that students learn a lot from boot camp, basic training, officer training school, and many other courses provided by the military. Upon enrollment, UAGC will request your Joint Services Transcript (JST) along with any other college transcripts on your behalf.

  • Several organizations offer courses that have been recommended for college credit by national credit recommendation services, like American Council on Education (ACE) and National College Credit Recommendation Service (NCCRS). UAGC has created transfer guides for several popular providers. Don’t see an organization listed that offers training with recommended credit? Talk to your Academic Advisor on how those credits may apply.

  • If you feel competent in a specific subject area, many organizations offer exams you can take for a fee. When you pass, you’ll earn recommended-college credit that may meet one of your unique remaining course requirements.

  • The University of Arizona Global Campus (UAGC) values learning and understands our international students bring with them a unique mix of possible credits. When certain conditions are met, students may use their international schooling to meet admission requirements, and may receive transfer credit for their successfully completed, international, college-level credits.

Transferring Your Credits

We want you to bring your experience with you. Get familiar with the ways you can get closer to achieving your goals by using your college, work, and life experience.

* Students looking to complete additional transfer credits should confirm degree applicability with their Academic Advisor prior to completing additional trainings.

** The transferability of credits is subject to the University of Arizona Global Campus transfer credit policies and requires the submission of official transcripts. The official transcripts will be evaluated by the Registrar’s Office to determine the credits that will officially apply toward a UAGC degree program. Credits must be earned at the same degree level in order to be applied. Additional restrictions may apply. See the UAGC Academic Catalog for full undergraduate and graduate transfer policies.

^ Savings on tuition available for those who qualify. $4,950/year is bachelor’s tuition savings based on completing 30 credits per calendar year at a flat tuition rate of $295 per credit versus published tuition per credit in the UAGC catalog on 2/6/24. Savings will be prorated if students complete less than 30 credits per calendar year. Benefits vary by degree level.
