Office of Graduate Studies & Professional Accreditation
The Office of Graduate Studies and Professional Accreditation’s purpose is to support doctoral students and expand the university’s program-level accreditations. The GSPA leadership team works across colleges and departments to assure student persistence and degree completion; develop and operationalize doctoral policy; provide administration across all stages of the doctoral journey, uphold research ethics; and advance programmatic accreditation.
Our team is proud of our doctoral students who conduct traditional academic research as well as community-based research projects that advance education, equity, and social reform. We support doctoral programs by overseeing research courses, ethics certification, In-Residence Workshops, and dissertation review and publication.
Our office is also charged with expanding programmatic accreditation. While the university is accredited by the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC). Additional accreditations at the program level provide our students with workplace benefits including internship and job networking opportunities, skill competency development, and meeting industry training requirements. The additional level of accreditation from respected Professional and National Organizations ensures that courses include in-demand job skills that are still grounded in traditional academic rigor.
