Biography
Dr. Lauren Gonzalez is an assistant professor for the Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education program in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Arizona Global Campus. She received a Doctorate of Early Childhood Education from the University of North Texas, a master’s degree in education, and a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas Woman’s University.
Dr. Gonzalez brings many years of experience to her role at UAGC, having taught in Texas public schools for eight years before teaching in Higher Education. Prior to her role at the University of Arizona Global Campus, Dr. Gonzalez worked as an adjunct professor at the University of North Texas.
Dr. Gonzalez is excited to work with those who have a keen interest for early childhood education and child development. She is committed to helping those individuals who have a passion for working with young children. Dr. Gonzalez believes in providing curriculum and learning environments that are conducive to that of a “real” early childhood classroom.
Dr. Gonzalez currently lives in North Texas and enjoys spending time with her family. She is married to her high school sweetheart and together they have three young sons.
