Collin M. Fehr, EdD
Biography
Dr. Fehr competed at the collegiate level in three sports: basketball, tennis and cross country/track. After graduating, Dr. Fehr coached tennis and cross-country/track at his alma mater, the University of Montana while pursuing a post-collegiate running career. He is a 3-time Marathon Champion.
His academic background includes graduate training in Exercise Science and Sport Psychology. He holds credentials as a Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). He is also a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Idaho. This knowledge base allows Dr. Fehr to use a multi-faceted approach to teaching. He is uniquely qualified to help students learn about performance from a holistic perspective, including mental and physical skills as well as technical and tactical elements.
Dr. Fehr has been a Certified Tennis Professional (PTR) since 2007 and became the first Certified Pickleball Teaching Professional (IPTPA) in the state of Idaho in 2017. He is also certified through the Professional Pickleball Registry (PPR). He has worked with clients of all abilities from ages 2 to 92!
As a faculty member, Dr. Fehr strives to inspire students to seek more than just knowledge in their studies. He believes that good education should also develop strong character, which, when combined with knowledge and timeless values, leads to wisdom. His core values are accountability, effort, integrity, optimism, and unrelenting.
