Biography
Dr. Shelley Evans is an Assistant Professor of Psychology in the Division of Health and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Arizona Global Campus. Shelley earned a PhD in Psychology with an emphasis in Cognition and Instruction from Grand Canyon University, a Master of Science in Special Education from National University, and a Bachelor of Science in Special Education from Michigan State University.
Dr. Evans began her career as a high school special education teacher and later transitioned into higher education, where she has taught psychology and education courses across undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels as both an adjunct and full-time faculty member. She has also served as a dissertation content expert and taught undergraduate math courses in both online and traditional formats. In addition to her teaching experience, Shelley worked as an instructional designer at Wake Technical Community College, where her collaborative psychology course design earned the Blackboard Exemplary Course Global Award. Her research interests include online learning and teaching strategies, student retention, personality factors, motivation, course design, and inclusive education.
