Biography

Dr. Lynne Trevisan is a full-time faculty member in the College of Arts and Sciences’ Bachelor of Arts in Health Care Administration (BAHCA) program. She began her career with Ashford University, now the University of Arizona Global Campus, in 2009, beginning as an instructional specialist, then moving into Academic Resolution where she determined the outcomes for grade appeals and academic dishonesty referrals. Dr. Trevisan began teaching full-time in March 2012. As part of her faculty role, Dr. Trevisan has developed or revised numerous classes for UAGC. Additionally, she serves on several committees and workgroups that support the goals of the university, and she has served as an advisory board member for another college.

Dr. Trevisan earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2000 from Palmer College of Chiropractic located in Davenport, Iowa. After graduating, Dr. Trevisan had a small chiropractic practice for nearly a decade. She also taught in the classroom at a local community college, covering topics such as anatomy and physiology, biology, microbiology, nutrition, health and wellness, and nutrition for dental assistants. Dr. Trevisan has three pets—one dog and two cats. She enjoys traveling with her husband and son, reading a good book, game days with friends, and cooking simple-but-delicious recipes.

Dr. Trevisan’s teaching style is to share knowledge with students to best prepare them for what they will be expected to know when they reach their careers. This covers a wide variety of topics as well as skill sets. She knows students bring their own experiences to the classroom, and states, “I learn more from my students than they ever learn from me. The knowledge my students share from their own lives is remarkable and deeply appreciated.”
