Academic Integrity (AI) administrators are often charged with defining and communicating AI policies to the university. Faculty members are often charged with the responsibility of enforcing the academic integrity policies. This is a challenging task for someone who works in both arenas. However, to fully meet the needs of a diverse population of students, we must exercise differentiation in how we communicate about these policies. With special consideration to diversity, equity, and inclusion principles, this presentation shares ways in which academic integrity instruction can be differentiated for the individual student, who has a unique background, nationality, ethnicity, military/civilian status, and gender identity.
