Culture of Care Summit - Day 1

The Art of Compassion in Virtual Environments

Leadership Supported Care
Return to CoC Summit

Virtual learning offers numerous benefits but presents unique challenges for students, particularly when navigating real-life situations. This session explores the art of compassion in virtual learning and how educators can effectively support students in dealing with various personal and emotional challenges they may face. First, the session will begin by acknowledging the increased importance of empathy and compassion in virtual learning environments. We will discuss how these qualities can support the pillars of the culture of care, foster a sense of belonging, create a safe space for students to express themselves authentically, and enhance their overall well-being.
