Culture of Care Summit - Day 2

Fostering Faculty Wellness while Supporting Students with the Culture of Care

Caring in Education
Return to CoC Summit

This roundtable discussion focuses on the importance of faculty wellness related to supporting students on a successful academic journey. Faculty face many challenges that impact their well-being. As faculty strive to help students succeed, the extra support offered requires additional time and resources and thus may have unintended negative consequences, particularly for associate faculty. Forming connections and collaborative moments with peers may be challenging, and this, in turn, impacts faculty well-being. The panel will share their personal experiences and offer strategies for overcoming these challenges through the Culture of Care lens.
