Wow! We can’t believe it’s the end of 2020. As the year comes to a close, we’re reflecting on all the amazing stories of triumph and accomplishment that we have heard and shared in 2020. It was an extremely challenging year, but the University of Arizona Global Campus students and alumni did not give up. Instead, they fought to continue pursuing their passions in the face of adversity to prove they are #TenacityMade.

February has come and gone, and you made it through another month. Whether you are a seasoned student or you have just returned to college and completed your first course, you pushed beyond the challenges of the day-to-day and rose to the academic occasion. Life is full of unexpected twists and turns, but if you have the right mindset, you can do anything. This month’s #TenacityMade superstars are proof.

You’ve always wanted to earn your degree or go back for your Master’s, but at this stage in your life, you may have no idea where to start. Going back to school later in life comes with its own hurdles. You’ll have to juggle your own finances along with your family life and any full- or part-time work, and you’ll need to study and complete assignments for each course.

Unlike the traditional path you might take at an organization or in your career, there is no blueprint for entrepreneurs to follow. That’s because entrepreneurship is a lifestyle choice, not a career. Entrepreneurs aren’t pounding the pavement looking for work. Instead, entrepreneurs keep busy trying to create opportunities for themselves, and they’re unafraid of what can happen if their big idea doesn’t take off right away, or at all.

You’re officially enrolled as an online student at the University of Arizona Global Campus (UAGC), and you’re about to kick off a whole new adventure, filled with excitement, opportunity, fulfillment and, no doubt, a little bit of fear. 

In preparation of Day 1, you’ve likely entered your student portal to poke around and review your course materials and assignments. By now you also should have set up your student email account, downloaded the mobile app, and taken a tour of Canvas, the UAGC online classroom.

After 26 years, one of the most seasoned faculty members at the University of Arizona Global Campus will be retiring, putting an end to a storied career.
