It’s time to celebrate the University of Arizona Global Campus (UAGC) Spring Class of 2022. 

Commencement is always an exciting time, but this year, it’s an especially meaningful celebration because, for the first time as UAGC, we will be able to honor our hard-working graduates in person! We’re thrilled to welcome our Spring 2022 graduates to a weekend celebration in Tucson, Arizona, starting on Saturday, May 21, with a day of festivities, followed by the commencement ceremony on Sunday, May 22.

You entered the field of early childhood education because you love watching children grow and understand more about the world around them. Perhaps you started in Early Childhood Education (ECE) as a teacher’s aide or assistant, daycare provider, or other roles in education, and your love for the field grew from there.

A short time after Carlos Diaz and his family relocated to Texas from Florida, they found themselves in a precarious situation. They had fallen behind on their mortgage payments and would soon lose their home and be forced to move. Carlos, a young high school student at the time, hoped to help.

“I think I had two or three thousand dollars saved up,” he recalls.

If you’ve ever had a favorite instructor or known a difference-making educator, you likely understand that people are driven to the profession because they want to change lives.

There is no single path to becoming a nurse. However, your overall career goals – beyond the immediate desire to secure a nursing position – should factor greatly into your decision. For many, the choice comes down to an RN (Registered Nurse) or an RN and a BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing). The former is the shorter path, but may not offer the long-term stability you’re seeking, while the latter is a foundational education that can offer greater flexibility in the long run.
