Culture of Care Pillars

CARES is the acronym that represents the core pillars defining how the Culture of Care is reflected in our work.

Culture of Care is what we do as an institution to help faculty and staff feel valued and supported.

Every interaction (chats, emails, live calls/classes, etc.) you have with a co-worker or student can have elements of the CARES pillars woven throughout, even information-based or transactional conversations.

We work to make sure everyone feels seen, heard, and understood in all interactions.

We have a universal understanding that life stressors can impact work, and, wherever possible, we work to make sure resolvable issues around policy and procedure don't cause additional aggravation to the issue.

By embodying and promoting Culture of Care within interactions between team members, we can create a culture that allows us to retain and graduate students.
