Biography

Dr. Fitzpatrick is a dedicated educator and academic leader committed to advancing excellence, equity, and innovation in early childhood and higher education. She brings extensive experience in program development, curriculum design, and faculty engagement, with a focus on building collaborative, student-centered learning environments. Her professional interests include culturally responsive leadership, early childhood program quality, and strategies that strengthen family and community partnerships in education.

At the University, Dr. Fitzpatrick serves as a Professor, Program Chair and co-faculty advisor for the Global Black Community (GBC), a student organization that promotes leadership, inclusion, and cultural awareness through educational programming and outreach. Her work is guided by a Culture of Care framework, emphasizing connection, purpose, and professional growth for both educators and learners.
