The Power of Email Communication and Student Success: Nurturing a Culture of Care

Pre-Recorded Sessions
Return to CoC Summit

We will explore the significance of email communication in fostering student success within a culture of care. Drawing upon Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs and Relational Literacy Theory, we will delve into various types of communication, including verbal, nonverbal, and paraverbal.  Our analysis will explore the role of  the academic advising service model in email communication and real-life examples of advisor and faculty email communications.  By aligning our communication practices with the principles of the Culture of Care and leveraging the academic advising service model, we can create an environment that fosters student success and overall well-being.
