The University of Arizona Global Campus classroom offers numerous avenues for faculty to communicate with students. In 2023, faculty used Signalz, a student success prediction and outreach tool only used at UAGC, to send more than 300,000 emails to students. While the gradebook and Canvas New Analytics both offer valid opportunities for communicating with students, Signalz functions on an algorithm specifically designed for our student population and rapid class format. Review this presentation for more information on the Signalz platform, data on faculty usage of the tool, discussion around the ongoing revision of the template library, and best practices for creating a Culture of Care utilizing Signalz for faculty in the classroom.
