Green Zone Training
The University of Arizona Global Campus: Green Zone Training
The University of Arizona Global Campus is excited to offer its Green Zone training program. Green Zone training was developed by higher education personnel to respond to the increased number of military-affiliated students on campuses over the past decade. The term Green Zone was selected because it is the location recognized by many post-9/11 military personnel as a safe place during combat, and in this spirit, Green Zone training is designed to cultivate a culture where military students can feel safe and supported.
The Green Zone training program at the University of Arizona Global Campus consists of six self-paced modules covering topics like military finance options, transition, and service-connected disabilities. Although some modules may speak specifically to the University of Arizona Global Campus and its online modality, the information presented should set a foundational understanding of how to be an ally to military-affiliated students on your campus. We encourage all completers to seek additional guidance from their institution’s veteran centers.
