Career Resources for Military-Affiliated Students

Tap Into Your Lifelong Career Services Benefit

As a student or alum of the University of Arizona Global Campus (UAGC), you have access to support from our Career Services and Alumni Relations team for life. Whether you’re active-duty military, transitioning to civilian life, and looking to begin your career in the workforce, a veteran, or a military or veteran spouse, the Career Services team can provide career guidance and insight.

The Career Services team is available to support degree-seeking students and alumni through a seven-step career-planning process. The My Career: Career and Professional Development Center, accessible through the Student Portal, offers many self-directed resources for support with resume building, interviewing, job searching, career planning, networking events, and more. My Career even provides resources specific to military students. In addition to making use of My Career, Career Services specialists are available to provide one-on-one support via email or phone.

Career Services also offers military-affiliated students and alumni community access to the Military Career Track and Military Career Pathways.

Military Career Pathways

The Military Career Pathways resource is designed for military students and can be found in your Student Portal. Once you enter, follow these steps:

  1. Click “My Career”
  2. Fill out the brief survey (first-time users only)
  3. Once in My Career, click “Resources” on the left sidebar
  4. Click “Pathways”

Because Military Career Pathways aligns with your current progress as a UAGC student, you can see where you should be on your journey as you complete your courses. There are multiple milestones, and the self-paced program will also help you search for a job.

Military Career Track

Developed for students and veterans, the Military Career Track is broken down into three modules: Pre-Transition, Transition, and Post-Transition. You can start from the beginning or jump to any of the three, depending on which stage is closest to your current status.
