Students and prospective students seeking employment in a field that requires professional licensure or certification are strongly encouraged to contact their state’s licensing entity where they intend to practice to review all licensure and certification requirements. The information provided in the table below includes the University of Arizona Global Campus (UAGC) programs that are designed to meet educational requirements for a specific professional license or certification that is required for employment in an occupation and the university’s determination of whether a particular program, if successfully completed, would be sufficient to meet the state educational requirements for specific professional license or certification in each state. Some states require individuals to complete additional requirements that are unrelated to educational prerequisites. These disclosures do not guarantee that any state licensure or certification entity will approve or deny an application. Additionally, these disclosures do not account for changes in state law or regulation that may affect an application for licensure that occurs after these disclosures have been made.
A student changing their state of residence after admission into a degree program may impact whether the student can remain in the degree program and/or meet the state licensure requirements. Prior to considering relocating, students shall contact their program advisor to discuss authorization and licensure eligibility requirements. It is the student’s responsibility to notify the institution of a change in physical location.
Additional information related to licensure and certification can be found in the Special Terms and Conditions section of each program landing page. For additional information on state authorization and SARA, please click here.

The table below provides the university’s determination regarding whether the Post Baccalaureate Teaching Certificate program will meet professional teacher licensure requirements in each state.
The Post Baccalaureate Teaching Certificate program is currently open to Florida residents only. This program is not eligible for Title IV federal student financial aid, VA benefits or DOD Tuition Assistance. Students who successfully complete all Post Baccalaureate Teaching Certificate program requirements and are US citizens can earn Florida Professional Teacher Certification in one of forty-two subject areas (valid for five (5) years, with a full Florida Reading Endorsement Certificate).
Program completers who earn Florida Professional Teacher Certification and are interested in reciprocity must research reciprocity requirements according to the NASDTEC interstate agreements. The UAGC Department of Education Studies (DES) can provide support in this process but ultimately, the program completer is responsible for completing the reciprocity licensure process.

This program ceased accepting new enrollments in 2018. The table below provides the university’s determination regarding whether the Doctor of Psychology, Clinical Specialization program will meet Licensed Psychologist educational requirements in each of the states.
The Clinical Specialization in the Doctor of Psychology program is not accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA) or registered with the Association of State and Provincial Psychology Boards (ASPPB), which is a requirement for licensure in some states. Other factors, such as a student’s criminal history, may prevent an applicant from obtaining licensure or employment in this field of study. All prospective students are advised to contact individual state boards of psychology for additional information relating to licensure requirements.
