In fact, after piloting the new Paper Review and 24/7 Live Writing Tutoring for doctoral students, faculty and students gave such glowing feedback that we’ve brought the improvements to all students — and beyond mere writing support! Tutor.com has more experts available not only for writing, but for research and specific subject areas than our previous service. This rising tide is going to lift all ships!
- Reliability: Due to an increase in the total number of tutors available, students can expect shorter wait times than ever before! And because the platform is simpler, instances of stalling out will drastically reduce. When you need help, it’s going to be fast and dependable.
- Leveraging AI: In addition to having access to additional tutors for help in writing, research, and subject matter, Tutor.com’s Drop-Off Paper Review also features an AI Paper Review. This service provides stellar feedback on your writing almost instantly! Pair the AI service with human feedback to polish all your writing, from discussion posts to PowerPoint presentations to doctoral projects.
- Interface: The new interface is intuitive and easy to navigate. Accessing the service through your Canvas classroom will lead you to a home page that has clear pathways to all services, past sessions, and previously reviewed assignments.
How Can UAGC Students Access Tutor.com?
The best part is students can still access all tutoring services the same way: through your Canvas classroom. Nothing changes for you. Writing and research help can be located on the Writing Center & Library tab, and Subject Tutoring can be accessed through the Tutoring on Demand tab (in select classes) or through instructor referral (in select classes).
And these new services aren’t only for struggling students. All students who use tutoring can thrive.
Consider that in our most recent study, students who used Live Tutoring and Paper Review were found to have higher pass and persistence rates, as well as lower fail and withdrawal rates. These outcomes aren’t limited to students at lower levels of mastery.
