The University of Arizona Global Campus celebrates four Constellation textbooks for Excellence in 2024 Textbook & Academic Authors Association Awards

[Chandler, AZ, March 8, 2024] – The University of Arizona Global Campus (UAGC) proudly announces that all four of its Textbook & Academic Authors Association (TAA) nominations have been recognized with prestigious awards. The TAA is a professional development and networking organization for textbook and academic authors, and it honors excellence in learning materials.

The Most Promising New Textbook Award for 2024 has been bestowed upon the following titles:

  • One Step at a Time: A Roadmap for Problem Solving & Making a Difference by Sabrina Mathues
  • How Does “Educator” Look on Me? by Newton Miller, Sarah Miller, & Ishonté Allar

In addition, the Textbook Excellence Award for 2024 has been granted to:

  • New Traditions in Public Speaking, Second Edition, by Dan Tinianow
  • Essentials of Business Law, Second Edition, by Suzy Rogers and Gwen Seaquist

The TAA evaluates titles based on pedagogy, content/scholarship, writing, appearance, and design. The awards underscore the university’s commitment to providing innovative, high-quality educational resources to its students.

The Constellation team, also known as the Learning Resources Editorial team, is a group of seasoned editors and eLearning professionals at UAGC. Collaborating closely with faculty, the Constellation team creates interactive, award-winning eTextbooks, supplemental materials, and courseware. These resources are not only readable, relevant, and inclusive but also rigorous, thought-provoking, and aspirational.

The awards will be presented during an evening virtual ceremony on Friday, April 26, 2024. Faculty can learn more about each title and request a review copy on Vitalsource.
