Ashford University Awards Academic Scholarships to Parents of Elementary Students and Elementary School Teacher

SAN DIEGO, Aug. 11, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- As part of Ashford University's continuing partnership with the No Excuses University network of schools, Ashford recently awarded three individuals with scholarships to attend Ashford University and further their education
Eugene Catibog, a parent of two students at Sunset Hill Elementary in San Diego, and Michelle Balderas, a parent of two students at Fairview Elementary in Logansport, Ind., were each awarded full undergraduate scholarships to the Forbes School of Business & Technology at Ashford University. Lina Tretyak, a teacher at Lea Hill/Pioneer Elementary in Auburn, Wash., was awarded a full graduate scholarship to Ashford's College of Arts & Sciences.
To be considered for the scholarship, parents and teachers involved with No Excuses University schools submitted essays detailing what it means to them to be part of a school in the No Excuses University network. This is the fifth consecutive year Ashford University is granting these scholarships, which cover full program tuition and provide a waiver for technology fees.
The official No Excuses University campuses comprise a network of schools that are committed to preparing students for college by promoting a comprehensive college readiness model.
