Biography
Tanya R. Mooney is a core faculty for GEN 103 Information Literacy in the Academic Engagement Center. After serving in the United States Air Force, Dr. Mooney worked as a paraprofessional in a self-contained classroom while she pursued her education. She then taught as a middle school math teacher and later served as a curriculum specialist/assistant principal, PreK-8th grade principal, and curriculum developer. Since 2008, Dr. Mooney has served in higher education, both teaching and designing online courses. She lives between Arizona and North Dakota with her husband and three adopted grandchildren. They are pickleball addicts and give lessons or host clinics in their free time.
