Biography
Dr. Stephanie Heald-Fisher is the Program Chair for the MA and BA in Organizational Management programs at the University of Arizona Global Campus (UAGC). She holds a Ph.D. in Organization and Management from Capella University, an MBA with an emphasis in Business Education from the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater, and a BA in Business Management from Alverno College. She began teaching 25 years ago, while still working in the business field. She now works full-time in academia, sharing her business experiences with her students.
In addition to her teaching experience, Dr. Heald-Fisher has been developing courses for over 20 years. She has presented at numerous conferences, including the University of Wisconsin’s Distance Teaching and Education Conference on providing useful feedback to students and the annual conference for the Academy of Marketing Sciences on helping female entrepreneurs in emerging markets. She worked in banking for 21 years, spending the final 4 years in corporate training. During her corporate training experience, Dr. Heald-Fisher trained process improvement teams on the Plan Do Check Act (PDCA) process and worked with senior leadership on change management processes and concepts. She is also a golf enthusiast and managed a golf resort in Door County, WI, for 3 years, then ran her own retail shop for 10 years.
She is active in her community, including volunteering for the Classroom Ready Program in Fort Mill, SC, which provides school supplies for the entire year to disadvantaged students. Dr. Heald-Fisher lives in the Charlotte, NC, metro area with her husband and enjoys biking, golf, needlework and jigsaw puzzles.
