Biography
Organizational sociologist Dr. Ronald Beach, Full Professor/Faculty for the Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration within the Forbes School of Business and Technology® at the University of Arizona Global Campus (UAGC), is a wonderful example of how distance learning can benefit mature working professionals. While progressing through a management career to the senior director level in operations management, he found the time to graduate from the University of Oklahoma Liberal Studies Program at age 47 before going on to earn his Master of Science online from Capella University and then his Doctor of Philosophy, Leadership specialization, at age 57. "I realize the challenge of working to support your family while having a hunger to learn more."
Dr. Beach had over 25 years’ experience in high technology manufacturing management with such companies as Hitachi, Western Digital, Emulex, and LSI/Engineo before retiring as the Senior Director of U.S. Manufacturing. Over the past fifteen years, he has taught for several universities; founded Organizational Leadership Foundations, LLC; is an expert in virtual leadership, a national book award-winning author, and sought-after international speaker; and certified in Belbin Team Roles and John Maxwell's Leadership program. At UAGC, Dr. Beach currently teaches courses in business leadership, statistics, and operations management. Dr. Beach now enjoys volunteering, taking cruises, and is a Titanic history buff. He and his wife of 52 years reside in Chewelah, Washington.
