Biography

Dr. Robin Dhakal is an Assistant Professor of Economics in the College of Professional Advancement. He holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in Economics from the University of South Florida, and a B.A. in Business/Economics and Mathematics/Computer Science from Warren Wilson College.

Dr. Dhakal’s research interests lie in development economics and political economy, with a focus on how economic policies and institutional dynamics shape growth and equity in emerging markets. He has presented his work at academic conferences and actively engages in interdisciplinary research connecting economics with public policy and data analytics.

With over a decade of higher-education teaching experience, Dr. Dhakal is passionate about making economics accessible and relevant through applied learning and real-world examples.

Outside of academia, he enjoys traveling, hiking, and exploring the outdoors. He currently resides in Florida with his wife and three dogs.
