Biography
Dr. Patricia A. Ryan is a Professor and Program Chair in the Division of Advanced Studies at the University of Arizona Global Campus. She earned a Ph.D. in Business (Organization and Management) from Capella University, an M.P.A. in Public Administration from California State University, Northridge, and a B.A. in Psychology from Siena College.
A distinguished educator and leader, Dr. Ryan has served as Interim Executive Dean of the Forbes School of Business and Technology, Associate Dean, and Chair of Marketing and Strategic Management. She earned the rank of Professor after over a decade of teaching more than 200 undergraduate and graduate courses while contributing to curriculum development, program review, and institutional accreditation. Currently, she leads the B.A. in Business Leadership program in the College of Integrative Learning.
Dr. Ryan brings over 30 years of executive leadership experience in Fortune 100 and 500 companies, nonprofits, and government organizations in fields such as institutional banking, marketing, finance, insurance, securities, and technology. Her academic leadership spans two decades of teaching and administration across professional, undergraduate, and graduate programs, as well as research and IRB governance, curriculum innovation, and faculty mentorship.
Her scholarship and service emphasize ethical leadership, organizational morality, and the integration of academic theory with real-world practice. She has been a presenter at numerous academic conferences including IACBE and industry summits and has contributed to multiple textbooks and research initiatives in business leadership and management education. Beyond academia, she has served on boards, public safety committees, and task forces at the local, state, and federal levels, focusing on ethical governance and community engagement.
