Biography
Miguel Kanto, MSITM Currently is an Assistant Professor at the for the University of Arizona Global Campus. He is a seasoned and principled computer science instructor, that brings over a two decade of hands-on experience as a IT manager / web developer coupled with more than 5 years of dedicated service in higher education. Originally from Guadalajara, Jalisco, he embodies a rich cultural background that enriches their perspective and interactions within the academic community.
With a Master of Science in Information Technology Management from Western Governors University and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, he brings a strong academic background and extensive industry experience. He is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Education at the University of Arizona Global Campus.
Beyond his professional endeavors, He brings a unique perspective to the role as a United States Soccer Federation (USSF) and NCAA soccer referee with more that 5 years of experience at the semi-pro and NCAA levels. This experience underscores how his ability to thrive in dynamic and fast-paced environments, where quick thinking, decisive action, and effective communication are paramount.
Mr. Kanto extends his commitment to education beyond the classroom through continual professional learning and research, keeping students aligned with evolving pedagogies and technological trends.
