Biography
Lisa Sims is an Assistant Professor and Lead Faculty in the Division of Technology Studies at the University of Arizona Global Campus. Lisa is pursuing her Doctor of Business Administration in Information Systems from Liberty University and earned a Master of Science in Computer Information Systems from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Computer Information Systems at Georgia State University. Before joining UAGC as a full-time assistant professor, Lisa worked in the public and private sectors across numerous industries, with over 25 years of experience in software development. She also worked as an independent web and database consultant for her own small business. In addition, Lisa has taught at seven online universities over the past 15 years. Her areas of expertise include web design, mobile app development, project management, e-commerce, system analysis and design, software development, search engine optimization, and social media and digital marketing. She is an Apress author of two books and a self-published author of six books. Lisa is passionate about education and online learning because she was once an online learner struggling to find a work-life balance, as many students today do.
