Biography

Justin Harrison currently serves as the Dean for the School of General Studies (SGS) at the University of Arizona Global Campus. He supports oversight of the high-enrollment general education courses at the institution. In addition, the School focuses on developing educational pathways into the University of Arizona by creating new programmatic offerings, certificates, and educational content that will enhance growth and educational opportunities for all learners, all while improving student success outcomes. Prior to coming to UAGC, Justin served as the Dean of Online Education at West Coast University, a position that oversaw online education and operations primarily in nursing and healthcare related programs. Justin has held positions as faculty, program chair of the Liberal Arts and General Education programs, Associate Dean, Director of First-Year Experience, and Executive Dean. Justin believes that education has the power to transform people’s lives, guide better decision-making, and ultimately provide more opportunity for personal and career development, and he works in the School to foster the liberating power of learning in students’ lives.
