Debbie Beck, PhD

Biography
Dr. Beck has over 40 years of experience as a RN in progressive leadership roles. Her background includes positions as Dean, Chief Nurse Administrator, Executive Director, Administrative Supervisor, Nurse Manager, Associate Professor, and Consultant.
In acute care settings, Dr. Beck provided executive oversight of all hospital departments, including fiscal and project management and staffing for multiple nursing units. She developed and implemented many quality improvements and served on advisory panels.
For the last 20 years, Dr. Beck has worked in the academic environment leading the start-up and launch of new nursing programs for three different academic institutions. She obtained CCNE, NLNAC, ABHES and HLC accreditations and designed the curriculum for each program. Dr. Beck provided executive oversight of multi-site campus systems, and as Associate Professor/Visiting Professor, provided instruction in doctoral, graduate, and pre- and post-licensure programs in traditional campus-based offerings as well as hybrid and online. Her teaching experiences included didactic, capstone, and practicum for courses in BSN, RN-BSN, BHA, MHA, MSN, and DNP programs while mentoring students in completing research projects. Dr. Beck is published and has presented at several nursing conferences. She serves on an editorial board and conducts peer review of manuscripts.
