Biography
Dr. Avisha Sadeghinejad is a Program Chair and Professor at the College of Professional Advancement at the University of Arizona Global Campus. She holds a Doctorate in Business Administration with a specialization in Marketing from Golden Gate University, where she was honored as the Outstanding Graduate Student of the Year by the Ageno School of Business. She also earned her MBA and Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Sharif University of Technology and holds a Digital Marketing Analytics certificate from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, along with Certified e-Marketing and Certified Social Marketing Associate credentials from the eMarketing Association.
Dr. Avisha brings over a decade of global industry experience to her academic work. As a marketing officer at a startup, she developed and implemented the company’s strategic marketing plan with a focus on email marketing, video email marketing, and marketing automation. She also spent several years in the food industry, specializing in brand management, strategic marketing, market research, and market analysis. As a consumer behavior consultant, she launched her company’s first customer advocacy program. Among the global brands she has managed are Nestlé of Switzerland, NUK of Germany, and Familia of Switzerland.
At the College of Professional Advancement, alongside her teaching, Dr. Avisha has led the development of the BA in Marketing and MA in Marketing programs and has designed and developed numerous graduate and undergraduate courses with innovative and engaging approaches. Several of her course designs have received awards from the Association for Distance Education and Independent Learning and the International E-Learning Association.
Dr. Avisha has authored and co-authored several articles and book chapters. She has served on the UAGC Faculty Council, representing the Department of Resource Operations Professions, and currently serves on the Advisory Board for the Center for Women’s Leadership at the University of Arizona Global Campus.
Living and working across different countries has taught Dr. Avisha that the world thrives on diversity and that being open-minded, curious, and welcoming is the key to genuine happiness.
In her free time, she loves spending time with her family, cooking, gardening, reading, and practicing piano and Persian calligraphy.
For her students, she shares this advice: “Knowledge is the most precious treasure you can ever collect, so learn at least one new thing every day.”
