A Brief History of the Forbes School of Business & Technology
In 1979, when the university was still Mount St. Clare College in Clinton, Iowa, the first degree to be offered was a bachelor’s program in business administration. Over the decades, the college grew to offer more degree programs, including its first master’s degree in 2003. In 2005, Bridgepoint Education acquired Mount St. Clare College and changed its name to Ashford University. The business college was then known as the College of Business and Professional Studies.
Between 2013-2014, Ashford University and Forbes Media announced a partnership, forming the Forbes School of Business. Through this relationship, the college has been able to provide students access to valuable online Forbes resources and advanced curriculum.
In 2016, the name of the college was updated to Forbes School of Business & Technology.
In 2020, Ashford University became the University of Arizona Global Campus.
