March 4, 2024

[Chandler, AZ, March 4, 2024] – The University of Arizona Global Campus (UAGC) is pleased to announce the inaugural Culture of Care Summit, a transformative 2-day virtual event taking place March 27-28 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. PT. This free summit is open to the public and aims to explore and promote the importance of fostering a culture of care within organizations and educational institutions.

The summit will offer over 85 live sessions and approximately 25 pre-recorded sessions covering diverse perspectives of "care" aligned with the Culture of Care pillars. The pillars of this initiative include communicate, advocate, respect, empower and student-centered. Attendees will gain insights into self-care, compliance, classroom engagement, and organizational strategic planning.

“This is a unique opportunity to engage with thought leaders, practitioners, and experts dedicated to creating positive organizational cultures,” said Tony Farrell, dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at UAGC. “Join us in exploring the transformative power of care in education and beyond.”

The Culture of Care initiative at UAGC is rooted in a commitment to building an environment where everyone feels valued and supported. It prizes academic challenge, holistic learning, personal development, and unconditional support for adult learners.

“We’re committed to creating a community grounded in trust and belonging, providing opportunities for individuals to thrive academically, professionally, and personally,” said Farrell. “This unique initiative emphasizes personal connection and aims to support students, faculty, and staff through academic, financial, mental health, and career guidance. Importantly, this conference is designed to extend its benefits beyond the education sector, welcoming any organization seeking to embrace a culture of care.”
