The University of Arizona Global Campus Celebrates Associate Faculty Member Kelvin Hicks for Congressional Veterans Commendation

[Chandler, AZ, December 4, 2023] – In a proud moment for the University of Arizona Global Campus (UAGC), we are thrilled to share the exceptional achievement of our esteemed Associate Faculty member, Kelvin Hicks. On November 10th, 2023, Kelvin was recognized at the Plano Flags of Honor as one of the distinguished recipients of the Congressional Veterans Commendation (CVC) in Texas' Fourth Congressional District.

The CVC program, which is nominations-based, aims to honor the remarkable sacrifices and unwavering dedication to service exhibited by veterans within the district. Among the 20 commendable individuals receiving this prestigious recognition, Hicks stands out as a shining example of commitment and valor.

Hicks, who hails from Lamar County, TX, has not only contributed significantly to our academic community at UAGC but has also served our nation with distinction. His dedication to both education and military service exemplifies the values we hold dear at our institution.

The awards ceremony, hosted by the Rotary Club of Plano East as part of its weeklong Veterans Day program, brought together a diverse group of honorees from various counties, highlighting the widespread impact of their service.

The 2023 CVC recipients include individuals from Lamar County, Collin County, Rockwall County, Denton County, Grayson County, and Hopkins County, showcasing the program's commitment to recognizing veterans across different communities.
