[Chandler, AZ, February 13, 2024] – A distinguished full professor in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Arizona Global Campus (UAGC), Jackie Kyger, has achieved a significant milestone by being granted a three-year tenure as a United States Fulbright Specialist. The U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA), oversees the Fulbright Specialist Program, a prestigious initiative that selects professionals and academics based on their expertise, skills, and potential to make substantial contributions to international projects.

Kyger's approval as a Fulbright Specialist now opens doors for him to be matched with projects crafted by foreign host institutions from more than 150 countries and other regions. These projects, lasting two to six weeks, align with the Fulbright Specialist Program's goal of providing on-demand specialists to international institutions, offering them greater flexibility in participating in Fulbright programs.

As a seasoned educator, retired Coast Guard officer, and alumnus of Texas A&M University – Kingsville, Kyger brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the Fulbright Specialist Roster. Kyger’s addition to this esteemed list underscores his commitment to global engagement and aligns with the dedication of UAGC to fostering collaboration and innovation on a global scale.
