Biography

Dr. Marsha Butler is a Global Campus Associate Professor and Lead Faculty member in the Department of People Management Professions at the University of Arizona Global Campus (UAGC), where she supports undergraduate and graduate programs in Human Resource Management. She has over 15 years of experience in higher education, teaching both online and face-to-face courses in business, human resources, and organizational leadership.

Dr. Butler brings extensive experience in academic leadership, curriculum development, and faculty mentoring. In her current role, she contributes to course and program development, supports instructional quality, and collaborates with faculty to enhance student learning outcomes. She has also served in leadership roles focused on faculty coordination, student success, and program alignment with workforce needs across multiple colleges and universities.

She holds a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership and a Master's in Human Resource Development. Her academic and professional work centers on leadership development, talent management, and creating meaningful learning experiences that connect theory to real-world application.

Having traveled to more than 45 countries, Dr. Butler brings a global perspective into her teaching, helping students understand how culture, leadership, and workplace practices vary across regions. These experiences inform her approach to human resource management and enable her to create more relevant, real-world learning opportunities for students preparing to work in diverse, global environments.

Dr. Butler is committed to a student-centered approach grounded in a culture of care, supporting adult learners in achieving their academic and professional goals. She is known for her innovative teaching practices, strong engagement with students and faculty, and dedication to continuous improvement in higher education.
