Biography
Dr. James C. Moore is an assistant professor and faculty for the BA in Entrepreneurship at the Forbes School of Business and Technology® at the University of Arizona Global Campus. He holds a Doctor of Business Administration in Management from Argosy University, master’s and bachelor’s degrees in Management from the University of Phoenix, an associate degree in Culinary Arts and Sciences, and Restaurant Management from Scottsdale Culinary Institute (now known as Le Cordon Bleu). He served in the Marines for six years and has worked in the information technology industry. Dr. Moore has worked as a professional chef, a chef instructor, and an educator. Before joining the University of Arizona Global Campus, Dr. Moore taught at the Base Education Center while stationed in Hawaii. He has taught at Phoenix College, Le Cordon Bleu, and served as a student mentor at Western Governors University. He teaches business and entrepreneur courses at the University of Arizona Global Campus. Dr. Moore says, “At the University of Arizona Global Campus, I feel that I reach an extensive range of students, quite often internationally based and get to experience things from their lens and see how it incorporates into the course and our conversations.” In his spare time, he loves going to “mom and pop” restaurants that serve various global cuisines. Doing so creates a need to exercise – something he enjoys less than the restaurants.
Dr. Moore consults in IT and Content Management Systems, video, and sound editing and enjoys public speaking. His area of study is in business, focusing on management and leadership. His dissertation revolved around Melanin Driven Attitudinal Decision Making and its Effect on corporate America’s Human Resources Practices. In addition to consulting and teaching, Dr. Moore is a former radio show host and former president of a non-profit radio station. Currently, he runs a business that houses two YouTube channels. Dr. Moore became a published Sci-fi author in August 2020.
