Biography

Holly Heatley is full-time faculty in the Academic Engagement Center at the University of Arizona Global Campus. She earned a Master of Library Science from the University of North Texas in 2010 and holds two degrees from the University of Texas-Arlington: a Master of Arts in History and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. Past experience includes positions as a research assistant for a Civil War museum and as an academic advisor for a large state university. Drawing on her education in library science, she emphasizes research and information literacy skills as well as historical knowledge in her courses. She enjoys getting to know students from varied backgrounds and locales, saying, “I value the hard work and determination that University of Arizona Global Campus students exhibit even as so many of them balance school with work and family. I particularly appreciate working for such a dynamic institution with so much potential for growth.” She resides in North Central Texas with her daughter and a full complement of pets.
