Biography
Damarie Grunauer is a faculty member in the Global College of Professional Advancement at the University of Arizona Global Campus and a resident of Jacksonville, Florida. Her one true passion in life is education.
She began her career in health care as a U.S. Navy Corpsman right out of high school at the age of 17. After leaving military service in 1996, she began pursuing higher education, earning a Bachelor of Science in Health Administration from the University of North Florida. After graduation, she entered the private sector, focusing on government payers.
Her love for education has perfectly merged with her love of health care. Damarie holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Florida, a Master’s degree from Florida Gulf Coast University, and a Master’s degree in Health Informatics from Purdue University Global Campus. She is a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) and a Certified Health Privacy and Security (CHPS) professional through AHIMA.
To date, Damarie has been teaching for over 18 years and hopes to continue doing so as a dedicated faculty member at the University of Arizona Global Campus.
