Biography
Damarie Grunauer is a resident of Jacksonville, Florida. Her one true passion in life is education. She began her career in health care as US Navy Corpsman right out of high school at the ripe old age of 17. After leaving military service in 1996, she began the pursuit of a college degree. She started out by earning a bachelor’s degree in science in Health Administration from the University of North Florida. After graduation, she began working in the private sector focusing on government payers. Her love for education has perfectly merged with her love of health care. Damarie has earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Florida, a master’s degree from Florida Gulf Coast University and a Master’s degree in Health Informatics from Purdue University Global Campus. She is credentialed Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) and is a Certified Health Privacy and Security (CHPS) professional from AHIMA. To date, she has been teaching for over 18 years and hopes to continue to do so as Faculty at the University of Arizona Global Campus.
