The University of Arizona Global Campus continues its global educational outreach and support with Brawijaya University in Indonesia

[Chandler, AZ, October 24, 2023] – The University of Arizona Global Campus (UAGC) continues its commitment to global education and academic excellence.

Jorge A. Cardenas, assistant dean of the Forbes School of Business and Technology® at UAGC, was appointed by the International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE) to lead a detailed review and site visits to the Department of Business Administration within the Faculty of Administrative Science at Brawijaya University. Cardenas, a distinguished expert in the field, took on the role of chair for the site visit, and together with Richard Kido, associate professor at Chaminade University of Honolulu, embarked on a comprehensive review.

Brawijaya University, located in Malang, East Java, is recognized as a leading institution in Indonesia's educational landscape, with a student population exceeding 55,000, making it the largest public university in Malang and the second largest in Indonesia. The Forbes School of Business and Technology® at UAGC has taken a major step forward by contributing to the enhancement of educational standards at Brawijaya University.

The site visits, which took place from September 18 to 20, 2023, involved engaging with Brawijaya University's vice provost, Department of Business Administration dean, assistant deans, faculty, students, and university support staff. The goal was to evaluate and provide guidance for the IACBE First Time Accreditation of four undergraduate and one graduate business programs, ensuring they meet the highest international standards of quality and academic rigor.

Maja Zelihic, Dean of the Forbes School of Business and Technology® at UAGC, expressed her enthusiasm for this visit by Jorge A. Cardenas, assistant dean, saying, "We are delighted that one of our team members was selected to visit Brawijaya University to help advance the quality of business education. International activities like these reflect our commitment to fostering global educational excellence and opening doors to new opportunities for students and faculty alike."
