Biography
Dr. William Ballard is a faculty member in the Department of Health and Human Services Professions within the College of Professional Advancement at the University of Arizona Global Campus (UAGC).
He joined UAGC in 2020 as an Associate Faculty member. Dr. Ballard earned both his Doctorate and Master of Health Administration degrees from Florida Atlantic University in 2018. He also holds master’s degrees in School Administration, Educational Leadership, and Instructional Technology. His undergraduate studies in Physical Education and Health were completed at Morehead State University in Kentucky.
Dr. Ballard began his professional journey in 2002 as an elementary school teacher before transitioning to higher education in 2007. Since 2008, he has taught at the university level with a focus on healthcare. His teaching portfolio spans a diverse range of subjects, including healthcare technology, management, public health, finance, and accounting.
Dr. Ballard brings a diverse skill set to the academic environment, combining his professional experience with over 17 years of teaching in higher education. His research interests include healthcare administration, emerging technologies, and online education. As a professor, he is committed to staying current in his field to best support his students’ academic and professional success.
Dr. Ballard resides in Louisville, Kentucky, with his wife and two children. When not teaching or supporting students, he loves to travel, read, stay active, and spend time with his family.
