Transferring to the University of Arizona Global Campus (UAGC)

At UAGC, we understand that learning can occur in many ways and places. We will work with you to review your previously earned credit to determine what may apply to your chosen degree. Prior to enrolling, ask your advisor about a pre-evaluation for an unofficial review of what may transfer. After enrollment, our Transcript Administrators will work with you to get your official transcripts on file for your official transfer credit evaluation.
  • You may pursue credit for your unique mix of work experience, previous corporate training, continuing education units, or other non-traditional sources of previous learning that do not carry approved-accredited traditional or ACE/NCCRS-recommended credit through UAGC Prior Learning Assessment (PLA). Students may pursue PLA credit through one or both of the options offered by UAGC: Sponsored Professional Training and Experiential Learning Credit Essay.

  • UAGC recognizes that students learn a lot from boot camp, basic training, officer training school, and many other courses provided by the military. Upon enrollment, UAGC will request your Joint Services Transcript (JST) along with any other college transcripts on your behalf.

  • Several organizations offer courses that have been recommended for college credit by national credit recommendation services, like American Council on Education (ACE) and National College Credit Recommendation Service (NCCRS). UAGC has created transfer guides for several popular providers. Don’t see an organization listed that offers training with recommended credit? Talk to your Academic Advisor on how those credits may apply.

  • If you feel competent in a specific subject area, many organizations offer exams you can take for a fee. When you pass, you’ll earn recommended-college credit that may meet one of your unique remaining course requirements.

  • The University of Arizona Global Campus (UAGC) values learning and understands our international students bring with them a unique mix of possible credits. When certain conditions are met, students may use their international schooling to meet admission requirements, and may receive transfer credit for their successfully completed, international, college-level credits.
