You finally found time to get started on that paper, but you can’t seem to focus. Your brain feels like it is swimming in a cloud, and your energy is so low that you must fight to keep your eyes open. Feeling tired and mentally foggy is frustrating, especially for the busy online student who may be juggling more than just course load. But the solution to a more focused brain will come when you make a shift in your food choices. It’s as easy as 0, 1, 2, 3. 

If you’re considering a liberal arts degree, you likely have two main questions: what are the biggest benefits of a liberal arts degree, and what are the post-graduation job opportunities should you choose one of the humanities or social sciences as your undergraduate major?

Are you dreaming about a new job? Do you find yourself thinking about what it would be like to work at a certain company? Are you fantasizing about a career where you get to utilize your greatest skills in an environment where people are happy and productive? I started my teaching career in Oklahoma in 2003 and have been working in some capacity with early childhood education ever since. I taught pre-K as my very first job in Moore, Oklahoma in 2003. I went on to teach pre-K for four years and then moved up to kindergarten with my last group of pre-K students. Oklahoma is one of the few states that offers universal pre-K, and my experiences there have made me an early childhood educator who believes in early education, especially universal pre-K.

“Social science” is one of those broad terms that everyone has heard, but few people outside of academic circles know exactly what it means. But the broadness of social science is part of what makes it an appealing discipline for students to pursue. A degree in social science imparts a wide range of knowledge that has practical applications in many careers. Let’s take a look at some of the specific benefits of an education in social science.

Spring is here, and the scent of fresh flowers and success (or should we say “tenacity”?) is in the air! As our students continue to move forward through 2021, they remain focused on all the goals they have set for themselves and the work they are putting into achieving them. It’s not too difficult to understand the appeal of a career in early childhood education. Professionals in this field are shaping the lives of future generations. Early childhood educators often speak about how emotionally rewarding and fulfilling their work can be. Many careers in the field, however, require a college degree, such as the Associate of Arts in Early Childhood Education or the Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education.
