
Richard Sarabia, DBA
Biography
Richard Sarabia is an Associate Professor of Supply Chain Management at the College of Professional Advancement at the University of Arizona Global Campus. He has a Master of Arts in Industrial and Technical Studies (MAITS) as well as a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA). He is a Certified NLPA Procurement Operations Specialist (CPOS) and is a Lean Six Sigma Green belt.
Richard’s professional industry background includes 18 years of supply chain and logistics management work experience within the areas of automotive, technology, food, retail, distribution, transportation and corporate training. This includes the management of reverse logistics centers, facility operations, transportation planning, and hazardous materials management. His professional academic background spans 12 years, including teaching and program development for both on-ground and online courses in Supply Chain and Logistics Management.
Richard was the co-recipient of the 2022 Miami Dade College President's Innovation Fund for AI for Business Innovation and Sustainability (AIBIS). This academic work was cited in EDUCAUSE 2024 and he was the 2017 educator of the year with the Greater Kendall Business Association.
The supply chain and logistics discipline has been a passion for Richard, and he has felt lucky to have worked in the industry, taught topics he loves and developed the passion in others so they can grow and achieve in this amazing industry.
