CHAMPS Peer Mentoring

The mission of the CHAMPS Peer Mentoring Program is to promote success by providing support and guidance and being positive role models for new students. The CHAMPS Program matches high achieving, upper-division students (Mentors) with new students (Mentees) to the University of Arizona Global Campus. Although the program is designed for the University of Arizona Global Campus's new students, CHAMPS welcomes any student in need of support as a CHAMPS Mentee.

Military Installation Graduation Recognition Ceremonies

If you are interested in participating in a military installation graduation ceremony recognition program, please follow these steps:

  1. Contact your local military installation’s education center to confirm that they host a graduation recognition ceremony. Make note of the ceremony date.
  2. If the military installation hosts a ceremony and you want to attend, order your University of Arizona Global Campus cap and gown from the University of Arizona Global Campus' authorized vendor. On the registration page, select “not attending” for the University of Arizona Global Campus Ceremony.
    • If the timeframe from the date of order to the ceremony date is less than 5 weeks, DO NOT ORDER FROM THE WEBSITE. Instead, please email [email protected] with the following information:
      • Degree
      • Major
      • Height
      • Weight
      • Date of Ceremony
      • Mailing Address
      • Phone number
      • Email address
  3. If your undergraduate cumulative GPA is 3.5 or above or you belong to any honor societies, email [email protected] to request the applicable honors regalia. Please include your studentID and a mailing address. Any applicable honors regalia will be sent to you in 7-10 days. NOTE: Master’s students do not qualify for Latin University academic honors. The Master’s gown and hood, which are different from undergraduates, indicate the academic distinction as a Master’s level graduate.

The University of Arizona Global Campus Military & Veteran Facebook Page

The University of Arizona Global Campus Military Facebook page is a supplement to the official UAGC's University Facebook page. It is intended to provide a dedicated space for our military students and is aimed at increasing their connection to the University and to one another.

SALUTE Honor Society

SALUTE is a National Veterans Honor Society, and stands for Service, Academics, Leadership, Unity, Tribute, and Excellence. SALUTE is the first honor society created for student veterans and military at two-year and four-year higher education institutions nationwide.

Academic Accommodations and Disability Support: Office of Student Access and Wellness

The Office of Student Access and Wellness provides services for all University of Arizona Global Campus students, including guidance, support, and advocacy for those seeking assistance through academic accommodations based on documented disabilities. In addition to providing disability support and advocacy to students, the Office of Student Access and Wellness provides military-focused support to disabled active-duty, veteran, and transitioning service members and their families. With an understanding of the unique needs that military students face, the Office of Student Access and Wellness provides disability support for diagnoses, including Post-Traumatic Stress, Traumatic Brain Injury, Depression, Anxiety, chronic illness and a variety of other medical conditions. The online environment poses distinct challenges for students managing disability-related impacts. Counselors work with students on an individual basis to ensure adequate resources and support are provided both in the classroom as well as the community.
