SCI Science Courses at Global Campus

This undergraduate level science course, taken in the University of Arizona Global Campus' Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies, is designed to introduce students to the scientific method and utilize this approach to study the interaction between humans and their environment. Upon successfully completing the class, you will be able to demonstrate a knowledge and appreciation of the scientific method and scientific approach to acquire knowledge, and demonstrate an understanding of the physical basis of the world and living things.

SCI 207 Our Dependence upon the Environment

4 Credits

In this course, learners deepen their understanding of the importance of natural resources to mankind. Students explore physical, biological, and ecological principles, examine how human alterations affect the environment, and reflect on the controversies surrounding various approaches to addressing environmental problems and the steps some communities have taken to address these challenges.
